The Pope should stand firmly on doctrines that are biblical and on the teachings of Jesus Christ, who is the Word, the Life, the Way, and the Truth, rather than on human opinion, worldly wisdom, views, or politics.
The Pope should be a servant of God more than a people's Pope, for he pleases God more than pleasing himself with the praise and approval of people.
Whoever the next Pope may be, he should stand and fight for biblical doctrine. Since the Bible is the Word of God and inspired by the Holy Spirit, it does not come from human or worldly wisdom, but from the pure wisdom above. The Word of God exposes our innermost thoughts and desires so that we may recognize our sins, understand what we commit in our hearts, and repent.
This next Pope should not compromise or embrace human-made teachings and worldly views. He should not be the kind of Pope who simply pleases people by accepting and tolerating their sin instead of faithfully teaching biblical truths.
This Pope must love people, but not their sin. He should love them enough to tell them the truth, even if they do not like it, because he desires to save their souls from hell and from living a life that leads to destruction.
This Pope must love people while refusing to tolerate sin against God, knowing that sin destroys people even without the immediate intervention or judgment of God.
I hope that this next Pope will stand on the teachings of Jesus Christ and His Word, which are biblical, and not be influenced by human wisdom, the opinions of others, or pressure from fellow priests and cardinals who go against the will of the Lord. His policies must not be grounded in or influenced by church politics.
This next Pope must love the LGBTQ community but not tolerate sin, nor agree with or join them in sinning. He should tell them the truth because he loves them. He should not teach a doctrine of salvation that differs from what the Bible says. He must not claim that all religions lead to God and that everyone, including atheists, will be saved; rather, he must teach that salvation is through Jesus alone, for He is the only way.
This Pope should also allow priests to marry, since there is no explicit command in the Bible that priests must remain unmarried. By doing so, he can help priests avoid falling into sexual sin while serving the church and the Lord.
He should encourage people to read their Bibles rather than kneel before sculptures and images, and encourage them to pray from the heart. They should speak to God personally, as to a living person, instead of merely reciting long, lifeless, and repetitive prayers.
He should rely even more on Jesus than on Mary, the mother of Jesus. Though we respect her and acknowledge that she is blessed among women for giving birth to the Lord, Mary should not replace Jesus, who is our Lord, Savior, and God alone. In Him alone we place our oath of allegiance, for He sustains our lives, saves us, and gives us eternal life.
Finally, this Pope must not play politics with other cardinals or those in power within the church to promote human-made teachings. Instead, he should faithfully and boldly teach the biblical doctrines that are true, as he devotedly serves the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Word and the Truth.
